Sarbjoth Veriah, Physiotherapist
Sarby graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2009, and spent a number of years gaining acute clinical experience at Monash Health which ranged from Acute Orthopaedics, Emergency department, Cardio respiratory and Intensive Care and Women’s Health. She also achieved accreditation in Pilates and has been an instructor in Clinical Pilates since 2011.
In 2011, Sarby ventured to Uganda for 3 months where she worked with a Non-Government Organisation alongside locals to assist in the development of a physiotherapy clinic. She was involved in delivering health care services to post-operative patients in orthopaedics, worked closely with neurological patients’ rehabilitation, as well as working to raise awareness of health within the local community.
Upon her return from the eye opening experience in Africa, Sarby joined the team at Kooyong Physiotherapy in 2012 where she has been exposed to treating a wide variety of clinical patients.
She has also been heavily involved with developing and running pilates classes to assist in patient treatment and recovery. Subsequently, in 2014, Sarby became a permanent member of the Spring Physio Gym team. Her enthusiasm about setting and achieving goals with her clients, has positioned her well within the Spring Physio Gym ethos.
Sarby enjoys travelling, eating good food, and listening to music! She is passionate about health and wellbeing and the promotion of it within the community!
